This is a pretty vintage braid that was manufactured in now ceased textile factories & mills of Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire. 
It was specifically made for lampshade makers though can be used for other soft furnishings, clothing, gift wrap and crafts.

Width: 8mm (use two strand together for a thicker braid i.e. to cover a lampshade fringe header?
Sold in 1m lengths.
